Expert announcer and former pro skater kicked things off over the mic as the jams started to pump out the speakers. That's when the skaters knew it was time for action.

Parents and spectators sat under the awning covering the bleachers to help block the intense sun beating down.

The contest had three different divisions for various skateboarding skill levels.

First up were the beginners, who consisted of the younger contest participants, but still put up an impressive showing for their age.

Next, the intermediate level skateboarders took to the park showing off more advanced maneuvers and using more of the course.

Finally it was time for the top dogs to take center stage with the advanced and sponsored skaters closing the contest down with highly technical tricks. Anthony Henderson took the top spot in this division.

The next contest coming up is at Fossil Park Skatepark in St. Petersburg July 2.
