CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews were called to Clearwater Airpark when a small plane lost a wheel upon landing.

The incident occurred at 11:32 Wednesday morning at the airport at 1000 N.Hercules Ave.

While landing, a wheel on the left side under the wing snapped off, causing the plane to tip slightly. The pilot did not have any serious injuries.
