Tax Collectors' Offices Back Up and Running
Driver's licenses were available, but many other services were not during the Thursday morning outage.

A statewide technical issue with Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ registration software had tax collector’s offices across the Tampa Bay area operating in limbo for a time Thursday morning.
While driver’s license capabilities were still up and running, the Pinellas County Tax Collector’s Office reported it was unable to process vehicle registrations, titles or parking permits.
The Thursday morning glitch was felt at tax collector’s offices throughout Pinellas County and across the state.

The department of highway safety had the system back up and running by about 11:30 a.m., Pinellas County Tax Collector’s Office spokeswoman Brenna Haggar said. Issues with a system update were blamed for the outage.
