Stone Crabs Rally In Ninth For Victory
Threshers go 1 for 11 with runners in scoring position losing to Stone Crabs 5-4.
The Charlotte Stone Crabs improved their best record in the Florida State League to 12-8 with a 5-4 come from behind win on Thursday (July 14).
The Threshers (9-11) scored two in the seventh to take a 4-3 lead on second basemen Cesar Hernandez' triple and center-fielder Jiwan James double.
In the bottom of the ninth, Threshers' closer Eric Pettis would give up two singles, a walk and a hit batter, in blowing the save and taking the loss.

Jiwan James had a big night in a losing cause. The 22 year old went 3 for 5 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and a RBI.
The 6'4" James is from Williston, Fla., where he was a pitcher/outfielder. The Phillies converted him to a full time outfielder in 2009. The Threshers' lead off hitter was selected in the 22nd round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft. He is currently ranked ninth in the Phillies top prospects.
