Stormy Weekend Likely for Tampa Bay Area
Rain chances are high throughout much of the weekend, mainly in the afternoon hours.

Tampa Bay area residents hoping for some fun in the sun this weekend might want to plan outdoor activities before the afternoons arrive. The National Weather Service is calling for a high chance of thunderstorms through much of the weekend.
The good news, however, is those storms aren’t likely to begin cropping up until later in the day. Predictions call for storms to roll in mainly after 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday with rain chances set at 60 percent Friday with thunderstorms likely. The same predictions are in the picture for Saturday, as well. Sunday’s weather will show come clearing out with storm chances only set at 50 percent during the daytime hours.
Courtesy of the rain, temperatures through the weekend should be a bit lower with highs anticipated in the mid to upper 80s and lows in the mid-70s.
