Clearwater Man Arrested After Girlfriend Fatally Shot In Car
Clearwater police received a report of a shooting at 3:12 p.m. Friday. Ten minutes later, they discovered the body of a woman inside a car.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater homicide detectives have charged a Clearwater man with first-degree murder in connection with the homicide of a woman found fatally shot in a 2020 Nissan Sentra.
Clearwater police received a report of a shooting at 3:12 p.m. Friday near Otten Street and Weston Drive. Ten minutes later, they discovered the body of a woman inside the Sentra abandoned in the 1700 block of Townsend Street.
Following a lengthy search involving three law enforcement agencies, Joshua Henderson, 34, was found in a retention pond a few streets over from where the car was abandoned. While trying to apprehend him, Clearwater police said Henderson pulled a Pinellas County sheriff's deputy under water and held him there.

Joshua Henderson has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
Henderson was taken into custody around 8 p.m. and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
The dead woman has been identified as Shyanne Turner, 20. She and Henderson were dating at the time of the shooting, according to police.
