AT&T Pioneers Reel In Goodwill At Fishing Tournament
More than 25 AT&T Pioneers members volunteered their time to ensure adults with special needs enjoyed a morning of fishing.
CLEARWATER, FL -- More than 25 AT&T Pioneers members provided food and volunteered their time to ensure adults with special needs enjoyed a morning of fishing on Pier 60 in Clearwater Beach for the ’Make a Difference Fishing Tournament.
The Make a Difference Fishing Tournament helps those with special needs experience the joy and camaraderie of fishing. Leaders from AT&T Pioneers chapters throughout Florida joined forces to support the Saturday, Sept. 15 tournament.
The AT&T Pioneers, a volunteer organization comprised of current and former AT&T employees, served hamburgers and hot dogs to more than 100 participants and volunteers. They also helped cut bait and assisted the participants as they reeled in fish.

“We were happy to be able to help make this fishing tournament a success for all of the participants and make an impact on the Tampa Bay community,” said Gloria Pazel, national board member of AT&T Pioneers.

Among those reeling in catches were Jonathan Vanderburgh of Seminole, Jeanette Ortiz of Port Richey and Darwin Mendoza.
