Team Bus Breaks Down En Route to World Series

The District 12 Big League All Star team is still in need of donations to help offset the unanticipated travel cost of attending the Big League World Series in Easley, SC.

District 12's Big League All-Star team was thrown a curveball Monday while en route to the Big League World Series in Easley, SC.

The team boarded a bus for Easley after they landed in Atlanta. But, the bus broke just outside Atlanta near Duluth, GA. The 16-player team and its coaches hung out at a nearby mall until a replacement bus arrived, a player parent said Monday.

The team, which includes players from Clearwater, Dunedin and Largo Little Leagues, clinched a spot in the Big League World Series when they won the Southeast Regional Championship on July 12.
