FRESH BREAD: Scripture teaches us that “a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:8). This portion of the Word of God speaks loudly about instability, indecisiveness and divided interests – none of which glorify God. The person who is double-minded frequently strays from the will of God resulting in his motives and actions being self-centered rather than God-centered. A double-minded man, while he may be a hearer of the Word, is not necessarily a doer of the Word (James 1:22). A double minded man is “selectively” obedient – he picks and chooses what he pays heed to as pertaining to the things of God. So today, purpose in your heart not to be counted among the double-minded. In doing this, you will save yourself and those around you much frustration. Selah!
