Threshers Rally to Defeat Manatees
Jeremy Barnes highlighted a four run sixth inning with a base loaded double leading the Threshers to 5-4 victory.

The Clearwater Threshers rallied from three runs down to defeat the Brevard County Manatees, 5-4, on Thursday (June 30).
Third basemen Jeremy Barnes supplied the big blow of the night with a bases loaded double in the sixth. It was Barnes second hit of the night and improved his batting average to .290.
The University of Notre Dame graduate did not start the season with the Threshers, but was called up after 22 games in Lakewood (Low A) to replace the injured Travis Mattiar. It was obvious after a couple of weeks that Barnes was not going to give up his new position. The 11th round choice in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft is currently batting .290.
