Two Clearwater Beach natives win national title at North American Bridge Championship
Two Clearwater Beach men win Grand National Teams Championship Flight title at national bridge tournament

Jeff Mecksworth and Eric Rodwell from Clearwater Beach led their team of six to win the national Grand National Teams Championship Flight title at the Summer North American Bridge Championship (NABC) in Las Vegas July 17 to 27. The NABCs are held three times a year and bring together more than 5,000 bridge players from across the U.S. and Canada.
The Florida-based squad included Michael Seamon, nonplaying captain Jodi Coren, Richard Coren, Kevin Bathurst and Kevin Dwyer. The championship title is the latest for Mecksworth, who has won three tournaments in 2014 alone and over 50 in his career.

The 2014 Fall NABC will be held in Providence, R.I., from Nov. 27 to Dec. 7.
