U.S. 19 Traffic Shifts Announced
The changes take place between Thursday and Friday evenings.

Motorists who use U.S. Highway 19 to get around might want to brace for some changes over the next few days.
The Florida Department of Transportation has announced that northbound traffic will move to the new permanent lanes Thursday evening. The new northbound on-ramp between Seville and State Road 60 will also open Thursday night. This will connect into an auxiliary lane that exits at Drew Street.
On Friday, southbound traffic on U.S. 19 will shift over to permanent lanes, as well. The onramp from Drew Street will also reopen Friday night.

“Please note these traffic shifts will still maintain the two-lane configuration on U.S. 19,” FDOT spokesman David R. Botello wrote in an email to media. “The contractor is scheduled to wrap up the construction project this summer.”
