Victim's Daughter: 'Please Come Forward'
The woman's mother was critically injured in a Thursday hit-and-run crash.

As Clearwater Police continue to look for the motorist responsible for a Thursday evening hit-and-run crash, the victim’s daughter has released a statement.
“She is someone’s mother, someone’s grandmother, someone’s aunt,” Quantel Whiting said of her mother, Tammie, 53.
Tammie Whiting was crossing Myrtle Avenue around 6:15 p.m. when she was struck by a silver four-door sedan. Police say Tammie was in the designated crosswalk and was crossing on green. The car involved, believed to be a Ford Taurus, was heading south in the median lane, ran a red light and struck the woman before fleeing the scene, police said.

Tammie Whiting suffered critical injuries in the crash.
“She doesn’t deserve what happened to her,” Quantel said. “Please come forward. Please turn yourself in.”

Tammie Whiting is a mother of our and a grandmother to six children.
