Video: Vandals Attack Clearwater Dolphin Statue

Police say the incident happened at the Barefoot Beach House recently.


The Clearwater Police Department is looking for help identifying three people it says are responsible for vandalizing a dolphin statue.

The incident occurred at the Barefoot Beach House, 332 S. Gulfview Blvd., on Oct. 21.

Police say the suspects took turns kicking and punching the fiberglass dolphin. Their actions, an email from the agency noted, ultimately caused the statue to fall off its pedestal. Damage is estimated at $1,300.

Surveillance video also shows the suspects filming the act on a cellphone.
