Volunteer to Clean Up Clearwater's Coastline

Clearwater residents who want to help keep the city beautiful are invited to help out during Saturday’s coastal cleanup.

The event starts at 9 a.m. at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center on Sand Key. Volunteers are being asked to pick up trash and debris along the Intracoastal area between the center and the north side of the Sand Key Bridge.

Participants are urged to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Sunscreen and gardening gloves are also good choices. Supervision, supplies and water will all be provided.
