Watch: Clearwater Firefighters Drop Gelt From 40-Foot Ladder

CLEARWATER, FL -- Chabad of Clearwater got a bit of help from Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department when it hosted Hanukkah activities Dec. 9 on Clearwater Beach.
Ladder Truck 48 used its ladder to drop gelt for children from a height of 40 feet.
Children below scrambled to collect the traditional coin-shaped chocolates as they landed on the ground, competing with seagulls that wanted to get in on the celebration.
