CLEARWATER, FL — City of Clearwater government offices, all libraries and some recreation facilities will be closed Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
Closed recreation facilities include Countryside, Long Center, Moccasin Lake Nature Park and the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center.

- Morningside Pool, Fitness Center and Gym: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Ross Norton Drop-In Pool, Fitness Center and Gym: 1 to 5 p.m.
- North Greenwood Drop-In Pool, Fitness Center and Gym: 1 to 5 p.m.
- Clearwater Beach Family Aquatic Center Pool: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- McMullen Tennis Complex: 9 a.m. to noon
The city’s Solid Waste Department will be working on Monday, July 4, and there will be no changes to the collection schedule.
The Clearwater Public Library System will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Current hours will resume on Tuesday, July 5.

Clearwater Celebrates America will be held at BayCare Ballpark on Monday, July 4, beginning at 6 p.m. with a fireworks display around 9:15 p.m., a concert and activities for kids of all ages.
All-American concessions, such as hamburgers, hot dogs and popcorn, will be available on-site for purchase, as well as adult beverages.
