Woman Critically Injured In Overnight Clearwater Crash

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue personnel responded to a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday that left a woman in critical condition.

The crash occurred just after 2 a.m. at Belcher Road and Greenbriar Boulevard.

Rachel Labrutto, 26, was headed south on Belcher Road when her car left the road, hit a curb, a tree, a fence and ended up in a nearby resident's backyard.

She was extricated from the Honda Civic by Clearwater Fire & Rescue, then flown via helicopter to St. Joseph's Hospital as a trauma alert. She remains in critical condition.
