YMCA of the Suncoast Elects New Board Chair
The YMCA of the Suncoast welcomes John Connelly as chair of the nonprofit's board of directors.
From the YMCA of the Suncoast: The YMCA of the Suncoast is pleased to announce the election of John Connelly as chair of the nonprofit's board of directors. Connelly will provide leadership to the 29-member board, which sets strategic direction and policy to guide the Y's work through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Connelly succeeds Jennifer Moore, an attorney at Ogletree Deakins, who served a two year term.
"It's an honor to lead an organization that is committed to strengthening the community for nearly 60 years here in the Tampa Bay area," said Connelly.

A key area of focus for the YMCA of the Suncoast during Moore's tenure was the opening of the Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA and the YMCA of the Suncoast's Strategic Plan 2016-2020.
Connelly, will now guide the Y as it sets out to help close the achievement gap, help people living with chronic illness and improve opportunities for young people to participate in meaningful and impactful afterschool activities.

Moore and her family will continue volunteering for the Y and she will continue serving on the board.
