MIAMI — Two or more Miami city commissioners or members of their staff will be participating in a discussion regarding "anti-gentrification efforts" in Coconut Grove at a meeting scheduled for Feb. 15. The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. in the first floor Staff Room of 3500 Pan American Drive in Miami. Officials also plan to give an update on Neighborhood Conservation District Legislation regarding platted or unplatted lots or parcels of land. The public is welcome to attend.

Renowned soprano Eglise Gutiérrez joins Orchestra Miami for this unforgettable program of Cuban classics and beloved favorites, performed by the String Ensemble of Orchestra Miami under the direction of Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi.
Internationally renowned soprano Eglise Gutierrez is one of her generation's foremost interpreters of Cuban song. Enjoy favorites such as Siboney, la salida de Maria La O, Mi vida eres tú, Tu Habanera, Corazón y much mas!
The performance takes place on Sunday, February 1 at 6 PM at Pinecrest Gardens, 11000 SW 57 Avenue, Pinecrest, FL 33156. Reserved seating prices are as follows: Section A- $50; Section A Seniors- $45; Section A under 18- $25; Section B- $40; Section B Seniors- $35; Section B under 18- $20. 
The performance will last approximately 1.5 hours and will be performed without intermission. There’s always free parking available at Pinecrest Gardens. The Fillmore Miami Beach

The Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami (CCBM) under the artistic direction of Eriberto Jimenez, will present Le Corsaire Suite. This enchanting ballet is based on Lord Byron’s epic poem written in 1814, a romantic story of pirates, maidens, slave merchants, and pashas. 

The Suite is a compilation of the most beloved scenes from the full-length ballet, including:
Le Jardin Animé
Pas d’Esclave,
Grand Pas de Trois des Odalisques
Le Corsaire Pas de Deux
&amp; More

The first performance of Le Corsaire as a ballet was in 1837 at the King's Theatre in London, with choreography by François Albert and music by Nicholas Bochsa. The ballet was later reworked by Joseph Mazilier, whose version premiered in 1856 with music by Adolphe Adam at the Paris Opera, achieving unexpected success. In 1858, Jules Perrot adapted the story again, adding several new dances later on choreographer Marius Petipa created several versions between 1863 and 1899.
