Over the past 30 years, the City of Coral Gables has made significant progress in advancing accessibility and inclusion in all aspects of civic life. To commemorate this significant milestone, the City Commission proclaimed July 26, 2020 as “ADA 30th Anniversary and Commemoration Day” in Coral Gables.

The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law on July 26, 1990 and since then Coral Gables has worked hard to improve the lives of people with disabilities by adopting legislation and implementing policies that enhance accessibility and inclusion. With this proclamation, the City reaffirms its commitment to become an inclusive and accessible City for all future generations.
