Coral Gables Team Removed 400 Pounds Of Trash From Waterways On Just A Few Hours
The International Coastal Cleanup season is still ongoing, and residents can also do their part to help the environment.

This International Coastal Cleanup season the City of Coral Gables team took to the waterways and collected approximately 400 pounds of trash in just a few hours. From everyday items like plastic bottles to a propane tank, construction debris, fishing lines and oil mats, it is surprising what can be found littered in our waterways. The season is still ongoing, and you too can do your part to help the environment. The City is hosting several contests to encourage participation with prizes ranging from $200 gift certificates to local restaurants to $500 cash prizes.
