Illuminate Coral Gables (ICG) is lighting up the streets of our Central Business District. A highlight of this event are glowing pedicabs called ‘Fireflies’ that can be seen throughout. These pedicabs were designed by Guo-Qiang and feature 1000 handmade silk Chinese lanterns that are lit up to resemble the glow of a firefly. Though they can't provide a lift to the general public due to COVID-19 safety precautions, they are still a sight to see! Make sure to come visit Illuminate and get a look at one of these beautiful moving pieces of art before they're gone.

ICG will be available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from sunset to 9 p.m and Fridays and Saturdays between sunset and 10 p.m. through March 13. If you are looking to get a closer look, become an ICG Ambassador! Ambassadors will act as guides for ICG visitors and will be able to assist the team in making sure everyone has a great experience when visiting each piece.
