Qualified Miami-Dade County Residents Can Register For Hurricane Evacuation Assistance

Pre-registered residents will receive priority for specialized transportation, safe shelter, medical monitoring and wellness checks.

November 5, 2020

We are in the middle of Hurricane Season. Residents who require evacuation assistance during a Hurricane Warning should register now for the Emergency & Evacuation Assistance Program (EEAP) managed by Miami-Dade County. This program is for individuals with functional and access needs who live alone or with families who cannot evacuate on their own, due to medical or specialized transportation needs; are homebound or bedridden, unable to walk and do not have transportation options; are on life-sustaining medical equipment that require electricity, or require assistance with daily living activities. Pre-registered residents in the EEAP will receive priority assistance for specialized transportation, safe shelter, medical monitoring and wellness checks.
