The ongoing construction of the new Public Safety Building, located at 2151 Salzedo Street, is moving along as scheduled.

To date, all six floors have been poured and the interior work has commenced, which includes all electrical, plumbing and mechanical work. The first concrete pour for the slab on grade on the first floor is scheduled for this month. The perimeter and interior masonry walls on the third through sixth floors will also be installed this month. The chillers, which are part of the building’s mechanical system, were installed on the roof of the building. The oil interceptor tank, a drainage system to separate oily waste from the interior drainage system, has been set in place and installed. The building’s generators are also anticipated to be installed at the end of the month.
