• Polk bicyclist killed in hit-and-run; driver arrested: PCSO (fox13news.com) — A bicyclist was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run at Sunshine Avenue and Reynolds Road in the Crystal Lake area near Lakeland, and deputies have arrested the suspected driver. Investigators say a witness followed the damaged truck and helped deputies locate the driver, who allegedly admitted leaving the scene and was later found with drugs in his pocket. The investigation is still ongoing.
