Here are the top three stories today in Dunedin:

  1. Dunedin will be hosting its first-ever Pride Week next month, according to the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce. The City's planned LGBTQ+ Pride events will take place Jun. 11 through 18 and include a golf cart Pride Parade, drag queen bowling, a film festival, and even a Pride 5K. Check out the full list of featured events at dunedinpride.com. (I Love the Burg)
  2. Beginning May 9, the Dunedin Parks and Recreation Department will host "Readers Theater" at the Hale Senior Activity Center on the second and fourth Monday of each month through August 22, 2022. Participants will be able to work with SAGES (Senior Actors Guild & Education Services) to create "a program of literary works addressing the topic of change" through a collaborative process, interactive exercises, and group discussion. Visit www.sagestheater.org for more information. (Press Release Desk)
  3. For Dunedin residents thinking about buying a Tesla, they may not have to travel too far from home: Truett Realty Group (TRG) will be redeveloping a 4.2-acre site on U.S 19 into the Pinellas County's first Tesla sales, service, and delivery center. TRG closed on the property earlier this week, which is located less than 30 minutes outside of Dunedin in the Lealman suburb of St. Petersburg (4601 34th Street North). The County gave its unanimous approval for the Tesla development, and construction is expected to begin this summer. (Patch)
