Family posts urge locals to review security footage, share flyers in Dunedin groups, and stay alert on trails, marinas, and neighborhood streets while law enforcement handles official tips and sightings.
3. See it: Florida memorial bench swept away during Hurricane Helene found over 1,000 miles away in Bermuda (foxweather.com) — A memorial bench originally installed on the Dunedin Causeway to honor a local father was swept away by Hurricane Helene in 2024 and has now been found on a Bermuda beach. The Sadiku family, along with the city that paused its memorial bench program after the storm, is weighing whether to bring the bench home to Dunedin or let its unexpected new resting place stand.
4. Missing Palm Harbor teen found safe after community-led search across Tampa Bay (tampabay28.com) — A missing 17-year-old from Palm Harbor has been found safe after a large, volunteer-driven search effort centered in Dunedin and across Tampa Bay. Hundreds of residents canvassed streets, waterways and neighborhoods with flyers and social media posts, while the family pleaded for visibility until Tampa police located the teen Wednesday evening and confirmed he was unharmed.
