Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:
- Dunedin-based author Bill Zaferos is honoring the anniversary of his novel "Serenity Heights" with a book signing at the Gilded Page. He'll be making an appearance at the Tarpon Springs store on May 25 between 6 and 7 p.m. According to TBN Weekly, the novel follows "the saga of a once-popular but now burned-out shock jock, 'Rockin' Donnie Derringer, as he settles into career purgatory working the overnight shift at a tiny radio station in Deerhead, Minnesota." Copies of his novels "Serenity Heights" and "Poison Pen" will be available at the signing. (Tampa Bay Newspapers)
- Are you interested in learning more about honeybees? Jennifer and Chad from the Pinellas Beekeepers Association are hosting The Life of the Honeybee on May 27 at noon in the Community Meeting Room of the Dunedin Library. This fun and informative presentation will help attendees learn why bees are important to our environment and what you can do to help. Guests will also have the chance to taste honey from local beehives and get up close and personal with some honeybees. Learn more information at the link. (Dunedin Library)
- Dunedin High School student, Josh Ward, was recently featured on ABC Action News for highlighting the benefits of learning skilled trades. As part of the school's Construction Technology program, he recently won SkillsUSA's gold medal for electrical construction wiring in the state competition. Ward aims to be an electrician after graduation and already has several job offers waiting for him. He's currently training for the national championships in June. (ABC Action News)

- Have you tried the new Mac Daddy Salmon Bowl at Mangos and Marley? According to the restaurant's recent post, they named the new dish after one of their frequent customers. They shared a photo of him with a caption that read, "This kid comes in every day to eat lunch and work on virtual school. He now has 'legend' status at Mangos. He's probably one of the first customers who have eaten through the entire menu, which now warrants your name being used as a special." (Mangos and Marley via Facebook)
- The Jungle shared an announcement that they'll be closing their doors on May 26 to focus on family. Stop by to see them over the next week as they clean out their inventory. (The Jungle Dunedin via Facebook)
