Here are the top 4 stories in Dunedin today:

  1. The Sandpiper Cafe is hosting a book signing event on Feb. 3 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. with Christine Telesz Siddall. Siddall is a seasonal resident of Dunedin and the author of "From the Milk House to The White House." The children's book follows the true story of Willow, a cat who was adopted by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden from the author's family farm in Volant, Pennsylvania. Stop by to meet the author and pick up a copy of her book about the cat that now lives in the White House! (Dunedin Patch)
  2. The woman-owned establishment, 7venth Sun Brewery, has created a new seltzer in an effort to bring attention to the "Pink Tax." It will be released on Feb. 10 in two colors with identical flavors, The Blue Tax seltzer and The Pink Tax seltzer. The Blue Tax seltzer is marketed to men and will cost a little bit more to purchase. "The Pink Tax refers to the discriminatory practice of charging higher prices for similar goods that are typically marketed to women. Deodorant, for example, can be up to 12 percent more expensive for women than for men, despite being the same product." All proceeds from both seltzers will be donated to the Pink Boots Society. The female-forward seltzer will be available at their Dunedin and Tampa locations just in time for Valentine's Day. (CL Tampa Bay)
  3. Speaking of Valentine's Day, Bon Appetit is hosting two special dinner parties for couples and families looking to celebrate. The first is scheduled for Feb. 11 between 5 and 10 p.m. and will consist of dinner and dancing. Guests will receive a welcome glass of champagne and a five-course meal that includes the option of prime rib, salmon, chicken, shrimp, and scallops. A second prefixed menu option is available for Feb. 14 with reservations starting at 4 p.m. Guests will also receive a welcome glass of champagne and a four-course meal. Main course options include lobster tail, filet minion, sea bass, roasted vegetables, and veal. A kids' menu is also available. Be sure to make your reservations online as soon as possible. (Bon Appetit Restaurant)
  4. The Honu is celebrating its seventh anniversary with a series of special events on Feb. 11. Throughout the events, a tiki-themed market will be held in the parking lot between 2 and 9 p.m. Guests can enjoy a live performance by Big Tiki and the Mai Tais between 2 and 5 p.m. followed by pre-Luau music at 6 p.m. The Luau will begin at 7 p.m. and will include a pig roast and live show. Get your tickets to the show online now and reserve your seat at the Luau! (The Honu via Facebook)
