Deadline to Sign Petition for Later Start Time for High Schools is Nov. 2
Many in the Tampa Bay area already have signed the online petition.
If you support a later start time for high school students there is a national petition already signed by many Tampa Bay area residents.
The petition was started by reader Terra Snider.
"I know everyone’s busy, but please consider how much good we could do if we all just took a few minutes," Snider said. "It would be such a shame to squander this opportunity to bring such a critical and longstanding issue to national attention."

It needs 5,000 signatures by Nov. 2 to get a White House response. Anyone age 13 and older can sign.
Proving that there is power in numbers, an online petition titled "Taking Action to Reduce the Burden of Student Loan Debt" by Roberto Rodriguez, received an official White House response on the We the People website.
