Kids Invited to Dance-Walk During Dunedin Fri-Yahs

DUNEDIN, FL — There’s nothing better than enjoying a walk in the city of Dunedin. But what if you were able to dance-walk and it was also on a Friday?

Dunedin Parks & Recreation staff will help kids start their weekend with Dance-Walk Fri-Yah. Kids will dance and walk while listening to a different genre of music each week. Costumes and themed attire are welcome.

The next Dance-Walk Fri-Yahs will be held Friday, March 5 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Piioneer Park, 420 Main St. Kids will be dancing to techno dance hits and celebrating National Hat Day.

Kids are invited to share their photos on city of Dunedin's Facebook and Instagram, using the hashtags: #FriYay, #CityOfDunedin and #LoveDunedin.

Kids must maintain social distancing guidelines.

Upcoming Fri-Yahs include:

  • Friday, March 12 at the Monroe Street Garage trail side, 356 Monroe St. The music will be Irish and kids are invited to wear a St. Patrick's Day shirt.
  • Friday, March 19 at the Lari White Gazebo trail side, 524 Railroad Ave. The music will be '60s hits and kids are invited to wear a peace shirt.
  • Friday, March 26 at Stirling Park trail side, 620 Palm Blvd. The music will be pop and kids are invited to dress in bright colors.
