Fine Art Center A Finalist For Tampa Business Journal's 'Nonprofit of the Year'
The Tampa Bay Business Journal chose 40 organizations throughout region.
The is one of 40 area finalists for the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2011 nonprofit of the year award.
The Dunedin Fine Art Center is a finalist in the arts, culture and humanitites category. It is up against the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts in Tampa and the Florida Orchestra in St. Petersburg. Finalists, announced Monday, were chosen for seven categories by an independent panel of judges from the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
The award is in its sixth year and aims to recognize nonprofits that make a difference in their communities.

According to the Tampa Business Journal website, eligible organizations must be registered as a 501(c)(3) in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Hernando, Sarasota, Pasco or Manatee Counties on or before January 1, 2008.
The award luncheon is at the Embassy Suites in Tampa (11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.). Tickets are $70 or $750 per table. Email eventstampa@bizjournals.com for more information about the event.
