Dunedin Woman Critical After Crash with Publix Truck

The accident happened Sunday afternoon.

A 65-year-old Dunedin woman was taken to Bayfront Medical in critical condition following a Sunday afternoon crash on U.S. 19 north of Republic Drive.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Joyce J. Siegel was heading southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 19 when a Publix tractor trailer stopped for a light in front of her. Siegel failed to stop and drove into the truck’s rear end, troopers wrote in a report.

While the truck driver, Corey Ciralsky, 27, of Winter Haven suffered only minor injuries, Siegel was transported to the hospital from the scene.
