City Meeting About Norfolk Street Reconstruction

The city presents this meeting to solicit public input and comment on the reconstruction of Norfolk Street between Douglas and Milwaukee avenues.

The city says the existing roadway is both narrow and poorly drained. Subject to City Commission approval, the roadway would be widened and lowered. Curbs would be constructed to both define the road width and to facilitate yard and road drainage.

The city says if there is a consensus among area property owners, the project could include construction of new sidewalks.
