FRANKLIN METHOD: Healthy Knees Through Imagery

The knee is the largest and most challenged joint we have. The knee needs to remain flexible while supporting most of the body’s weight. To meet this challenge, the knee is an ingenious system with moveable surfaces and an intricate web of soft tissue. Incorrect alignment and lack of proper training can cause the knees to become painful as ligaments, joints and muscles are strained. Discover how imagery can make walking and running more efficient and pleasurable. Enhance healthy movement and use of the knee in all situations.

  •  Support your knees with imagery
  • Know why the knee is not a hinge joint
  • Visualize efficient knee function based on its design
  • Discover the bone rhythms of the knee, “Rotate, slide and spin!”
  • Experience knee function and how it relates to your hips and feet.

Workshop is being conducted inside the Dundedin Pilates Studio at the Back N Balance Wellness Center.

Instructor is Carolyn Bell, Certified Pilates Teacher, Certified Fascial Stretch Therapist and Franklin Method Educator candidate.

“The knee is where we show fear, grace and social order...our knees shake in fear and we stand tall on our knees; all in all, what a unique place of design and expression; a knee." -   Eric Franklin
