Here are the top 5 stories today in Dunedin:
- The City of Dunedin has provided updates on the cybersecurity incident impacting the city's network. Recreation payments currently can't be made online or in person via credit card. All payments must be made in person by cash or check for all programs, events, pavilion rentals, marina, and driving range. The Utility Billing Department currently accepts cash or check payments. For online utility payers, you can still make payments through the city online portal, Paymentus. Once city officials gain access to the system, your payment will be credited to your account. Permit fees will not be collected at this time. Instead, the city will issue manual placards to commence work, and the system will prompt collection when back up. Online inspection requests are currently not available. To schedule an inspection, you can call 727-298-3210. (Dunedin Patch)
- The Dunedin Public Library is holding a "Financial Wellness: Behind on Bills" workshop on Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Hosted by Kate Joslin of the Tampa Bay Neighborhood Housing Services, attendees will learn about different methods and tools to improve overall financial wellness. This class will share tips and tricks on how to get back on track with your bills. (Dunedin Public Library)

Cruise down the Anclote River and out to the Gulf of Mexico in search of dolphins, manatees, and other wildlife. Visit the sponge docks after the cruise for lunch and shopping on your own. To register bring $42 per person in cash or check to the Hale Senior Activity Center. (Dunedin Gov)
- Get ready for the 50th Annual Our Lady of Lourdes Fall Festival in Dunedin between Oct. 13 and Oct. 16. Attendees will enjoy a weekend full of games, rides, music, and much more. Admission and parking are free. The Jolley Trolly will also be running for free between Our Lady of Lourdes and the Dunedin High School parking lot that Friday and Saturday. The money raised during the event benefits the children of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, offering reduced tuition, new technology in classrooms, and more. (OLL Fall Festival)
- Pinellas County's new Tenants Bill of Rights ordinance is now in effect countywide. Here's everything you need to know: "1. Landlords must provide a Notice of Rights for all new or renewing leases after Oct. 3, 2022. 2. Landlords cannot discriminate against potential tenants based on a valid source of income, such as a housing voucher. 3. Landlords must give advanced notice of late fees and rent increases of 5 percent or more. 4. This ordinance applies countywide except in cities that have formally opted out or adopted their own ordinance with different provisions, which is currently only the City of St. Pete."
