First Purple Heart City Pays Tribute

Dunedin celebrates its fourth annual National Purple Heart Recognition Day.

Veterans and city officials paid tribute to U.S. service members who were wounded or killed in action at Purple Heart Park on Aug. 5.

National Purple Heart Recognition Day is Aug. 7. The day holds special significance in Dunedin because it is recognized as America's first Purple Heart City.

Aug. 5 marked Dunedin's fourth annual ceremony.
