Here We Grow Foundation, Inc. 2014 Holiday Programs

The first campaign ”Giving Thanks is Giving Back” diaper campaign. We are seeking an overflow of donations so that we may increase the amount of diapers we give to our client in December 2014 and January 2014 from ”up to 30 diapers” to ”up to 80 diapers”. We are hoping to alleviate some of the economic stress and depressions, families experience during the holiday season. We are seeking disposable diapers (all sizes: Newborn to Size 6) and disposable training pants (all sizes: size 2t/3T - 5T/6T); baby wipes and diaper rash cream.

Did you know that ”1 in 3 American moms struggle to provide their infant or toddler with one basic essential - -diapers.”

Diapers should be part of a two-generation solution. Diapers allow young children to attend early education and child care programs, thus freeing parents to attend work or school. Diapers can be used as part of a home visiting program to supply parents with basic needs they are likely missing. Diapers can ease the stress of parents unable to soothe a crying child with a wet diaper. And donated diapers can free up dollars in the family budget that might go to other basic needs such as utility costs, transportation, or clothing.

The second campaign is our 2nd Annual Stockings and Stuffings Program. We are seeking individuals, groups, businesses, organizations and companies to sponsor Pinellas County families that are struggling to make great memories for their children during the holiday season. We will assign you a family complete with information about them that will assist you in purchasing Christmas gifts for them and in turn the family will respond with a heartfelt ”thank you.” We want to eliminate some of the stress and depression that parents go through during the holidays trying to give their children something to open on Christmas Day.
