DUNEDIN, FL — Dunedin Mayor Julie Ward Bujalski and the City of Dunedin Commissioners invite residents to the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion of enhancements to the John R. Lawrence Pioneer Park Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Pioneer Park construction project began the week of July 12. The project involved the revitalization of Pioneer Park at 400 Main St. in downtown Dunedin.

The Community Redevelopment staff and Parks and Recreation staff retained consultants Cardno/BDG to develop concepts for enhancing the park and have chosen the plan which reflects the curvilinear shape of the recently renovated stage.

The design includes plantings, hardscape and natural turf materials to beautify the park while still allowing the demands of the various events held there.

Improvements also include brick pavers, stained concrete and re-sodding with Bermuda turf as well art walls along both ends of the park on Main Street side.
