“Dunedin has a wealth of places and people that have made the city what we know today,” Nigro said. He is one of the guides for the 's weekly walking tours that kicked back up for the season two weeks ago.

“The tour begins with Jonesboro, the actual first name of Dunedin, through the Atlantic Coast Railroad to modern Dunedin,” he said.

Nigro and other knowledgeable guides share Dunedin's rich history in a walking tour every Friday (through April 2012) starting at 11 a.m.

The tours last about an hour and a half and admission is $15 per person. Nigro said that the admission price includes entrance to the museum, an information packet and substantial discounts for select restaurants. Proceeds benefit the Dunedin Historical Museum.

This is the second year that the museum is offering the tours. No reservations are necessary. Tour begins in front of the museum.
