Lace Lingerie Dreams Do Come True
Pauline Smith went from corporate to small shop owner.
You may have noticed an intriguing new lingerie shop nestled appropriately next to downtown.
's space is intimate with a fun, unique selection — from everyday comfort and support like Hanky Panky’s most comfortable thong and the best-selling Rhonda Shear AhhBra!, to pin-up style lingerie and everything in between. Lace Lingerie also carries Hot Milk nursing and maternity wear, along with cozy, secure birthing gowns.
I first fell in love with it in Safety Harbor, so I was tickled when it came to Dunedin.

Pauline Smith, owner of , got her first job at Countryside Mall when she was 16. She worked at The Limited Too (now Justice) all the way up to manager.
In 2008, with the economy in a tailspin and corporate pressure mounting on retail employees, Smith felt if she ever wanted to run her own store, now was the time.

Although Smith was raised in Pinellas County, growing up, her family would sometimes visit their home in upstate New York. She had always loved a boutique lingerie shop there in Woodstock, NY, called Vidakafka.
In early 2009, with the guidance of Vidakafka’s owner, Smith went to a lingerie trade show in New York, got a lease in Safety Harbor in March, and by May, opened the store she had always wanted: a cozy, unique lingerie and vintage clothing shop.
(And as if making one big change in her life wasn’t enough, Smith got married and had a baby around the same time.)
Originally, Smith had hoped to open in Dunedin but never found the right space. After two years in Safety Harbor, a downtown retail space on Main Street became available and lucky for us, she jumped on it.
Lace Lingerie offers custom bra fittings and carries a wide range of bra sizes from A to H. They also buy vintage clothing.
