Adam Zeph (as Seymour)
Zeph plays the main male character of Seymour, describing the character as "a nerd."

"He's a botanist," said Zeph of Seymour. "Mushnik is his boss and Audrey is who he wants to be his true love. He collects weird and interesting plants."
Zeph stated playing Seymour is "demanding" because of the singing.
"Vocally, it's very demanding with lots of highs and lows and repeated words like crazy," Zeph said. "It's non-stop action. Once you think you have a break, you go back on stage.
"But if you can act, the singing will come."
Paige Konger (as Audrey)
As Konger describes her character, Audrey is in a bad work environment, in a bad relationship from a broken family with little money.
"She works at this flower shop, has a hard time there, her dad left home early, her mom is poor and she is in an abusive relationship," Konger said.
Add to that Audrey, despite being romantically linked to a demented dentist, pines for a co-worker.
"She has this awkward relationship with Seymour and (he) is exactly what she wants," Konger said. "When you first look at her she's a bitchy blonde but she actually has a lot more going for her. She has a lot of internal struggles throughout."
When Konger first learned she won the audition for Audrey, she has thrown herself into her work.
"I tried to memorize my lines the first week [of a 10-week rehearsal]," Konger said.
Peter Bernard (as Orin)
Bernard may have the most difficult task of anyone in the play. While his main character is Orin, the sadistic dentist and Audrey's main love interest, Bernard plays eight other minor characters in the play.
"There are different lines, different characters, one is a female, they each have different accents," Bernard explained. "By the end of the play I am exasperated."
But it is his main role of Orin that Bernard puts "110 percent effort into his acting."
"It’s the most extreme, most demanding role I have ever played," Bernard said. "I'm just running across the stage and yelling. I just have to put myself into that mindset when I'm on stage to go full-force. I have to be a psycho.
Zach Kimball (as Mr. Mushnik)
Mr. Mushnik is the owner of "Mushnik's Little Shop of Flowers" and, in a way, not taxing for Kimball to play.
"He is the complete opposite of me," Kimball said of the character. "I am the nicest person you would ever meet. All (Mushnik) cares about is money and how much he makes. You just have to be mean [to play him], and do it in a 50-year-old mind.
Not only is this Kimball's first musical, it is his first major role, which sort of came by surprise.
"When I learned [of getting the part], I was bouncing off the walls," Kimball said. "My mom told me to calm down because she was tired of hearing about it."
