Here are the top three stories in Dunedin today:
- Dunedin Parks & Recreation has planned a Multiplayer Gaming Night for kids ages 9 to 14. The event is scheduled for October 14 between 7 and 9p.m. at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center. Kids will go head-to-head in Mario Party multiplayer video game tournaments, have a chance to win prizes and enjoy some snacks. Those interested can register online or in person at the rec center. - Soggy Bottom Brewery is hosting a free Fly Casting Night on September 21 between 7 and 10 p.m. for all ages and skill levels. Stop by to practice your cast and get some tips from your favorite local Captain! Those who attend can enjoy food, drinks and music as well! A portion of food and drink sales will be donated to Captains for Clearwater. At the end of the evening, you can participate in a friendly competition. The first-place winner will receive an awesome prize! If you can't make it this week, the event repeats every first and third Wednesday of the month. (Dunedin Patch)
- Dunedin Parks & Rec is offering Archery for Kids & Adults with group class options available on Mondays between 5 and 7 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 and 11 a.m. Introduce your child or yourself to archery taught by certified coaches of the Junior Olympic Archery Development Program (JOAD). If you are new to archery and looking for an introductory program or want to increase your shooting techniques and learn proper form, these classes are exactly what you need to get started!
