Looking for a great place to put up guests in Dunedin?

We all know Dunedin is a great place to visit. And we love it when our friends and family come to town. We just don't always want them to actually stay in our homes. But how do we get that across without sounding, you know, a little rude…?

Here's an idea: strongly suggest they stay at the Mai Tai Suites. Owners John and Karen Bickford offer fully furnished 850 square foot, 2-bed, 1-bath suites for less than the price of a hotel.

Mai Tai Suites is located off the Dunedin Causeway and is surrounded by St. Joseph's Sound. It's convenient to Clearwater Beach and Downtown Dunedin. It's also dog-friendly (with no pet fee) and offers a free guest pass to nearby Honeymoon Island State Park.

Invite all your friends and family to visit Dunedin — and tell them to book their rooms at Mai Tai Suites today. Book direct with Mai Tai Suites to save up to 15 percent of typical online booking site fees.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Dunedin:

  1. In February 2022, the old City Hall building located at 542 Main St. was deemed functionally obsolete. Just this week, the building was decommissioned, and now the next step is to move forward with plans to transform the property into a mini park. Concept designs being considered include the preservation of the grand oak trees surrounding the building, the current brickwork, and public art. You can learn more about the plans here. (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
  2. Tickets are now available to Cabs & Slabs on Aug. 31 between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the Fenway Hotel. Guests will enjoy an educational culinary experience with tastes from local farms and vineyards. Check out the full menu and get your tickets at the link. (Fenway Hotel)
  3. Interested in learning how to create a beautiful charcuterie board? Get tickets to a fig+vine workshop on Sept. 17 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Wine at the Docks. Attendees will learn various cutting techniques and receive step-by-step instructions on charcuterie board styling. (Eventbrite)
