- A 7th grader in Dunedin has been collecting plastic bottle caps for two years to be recycled and turned into a bench. She plans to continue her efforts by making a bench for her middle school, high school, and college she attends. (ABC Action News)
- Parking in Downtown Dunedin has been a concern for citizens for over a decade, so the city's decision to turn a lot into a parking garage is a "no brainer." Plans are to purchase a lot at Scotland Street and Douglas Avenue measuring at three-quarters of an acre. There are hopes that the structure will be multi-functional and offer residents more than just parking. (TBN Weekly)
- A new hotel may be coming to Dunedin on Causeway Boulevard for the Toronto Blue Jays. The hotel will have three floors and up to 75 rooms, all dedicated to the team for use after practices at their local training facility. If approved, the hotel will offer some rooms to the public at certain times of the year. (TBN Weekly)
- Dunedin tech company SecureAire has developed an air purification system that safeguards those riding elevators from COVID and other airborne contaminants. The EU-100X controls the movement of air particles using the combination of electrostatic and electrodynamic fields. The air filtration system makes standing in close quarters safer, which is an asset in today's world. (EIN News)

The franchise has since expanded, most recently opening Frenchy's Seafood Market right across from their Dunedin restaurant location, Frenchy's Outpost, on the Dunedin Causeway.
