Soaring Heart Energies

Are you feeling anxious, exhausted, achy, or annoyed? Take your power back from your anxiety and depression. My name is Julie Speetjens, and Reiki changed my life. Reiki is a Japanese energy balancing modality that promotes healing and relaxation. It channels Chi, Prana, or Universal life-force energy to a recipient while they rest fully-clothed. Reiki works gently to renew mind, body, and spirit at all levels. Reiki is safe for everyone, complements all other modalities, and effectively addresses anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic or acute pain, PTSD, grief, burn-out, and much more. Reiki recipients feel lighter, brighter, and more relaxed after a session, and it is quite normal to fall asleep during treatment. Sensations range from tingling, wavy pressure, heat, and heavy or floaty limbs, to visions of colors or a sense of spiritual awareness. Stepping out of the busy Beta brainwave, that "Fight or Flight" response, and shifting to an Alpha or Theta brainwave and the "Rest and Restore" mode, allows your Parasympathetic Nervous System vital time to work its healing wonders. All of my Reiki is hands-off, not only to honor your personal space but also to encourage deep relaxation into that lovely Theta brainwave state. Reiki is not a religion, does not conflict with any religious or spiritual framework, and does not require belief to be effective. It sounds "woo" but feels amazing! Reiki offers a safe, natural, non-invasive, and holistic approach to authentic wellness, and can help you become your favorite version of yourself. It complements, and does not replace, medical care from a licensed medical professional. Give yourself permission to feel better! Sessions are offered in-person at The Yoga Village or online via Zoom. Mention Patch for $20 off your first Reiki session.

After a slight delay, Pinellas County's first P.F. Chang's restaurant opens Monday, April 8. Officials with the restaurant initially expected to open the location at Westfield Countryside Mall the first week in March. The restaurant is a test store so there are some different menu items in addition to the regular fare. Employees wear different uniforms than other stores as well. It has a wall of nano glass doors that can be opened to give an outdoor ambiance. There is detailed woodwork inside and out. It is the final destination dining option to fill out the mall's restaurant row. Already there are a BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, Grimaldi's, Red Robin and Bar Louie.
