Pinellas 2014 Election Results: Greenlight Fails
With 283 of 299 precincts reporting, voters have defeated the 1-cent sales tax referendum.

Pinellas County residents won’t be paying an extra penny to fund transportation projects.
With 283 of 299 precincts reporting, Greenlight Pinellas has failed, according to unofficial election results from the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Office.
The referendum would have helped fund a number of projects, including rail. Pinellas voters, however, overwhelmingly shot down the measure.

The unofficial results for the 283 precincts came in at 62.06 percent against the measure, or 205,258 votes, and 37.94 percent, or 125,483, in favor of it.
