Those who plan to apply are encouraged to contact their landlord about a possible payment plan or rent deferral.

DUNEDIN, FL — Need help paying rent? Here’s what you can do right now:
Step 1: Contact your landlord or property management company and let them know you are seeking help due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They may be willing to work on a payment plan or defer payments for you.
Step 2: Check whether your household is eligible for assistance (see below and read the FAQ page)

You may qualify if:
- You’ve lost your job or significant income due to the COVID-19 pandemic,
- You’re behind on rent payments or at risk of missing a rent payment, and
- You have a household income at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI).
Applications open March 31 for Pinellas County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
