Pinellas County Opens Beaches

The Dunedin Causeway will be fully open; however, CDC social distancing guidelines stated above, apply.

DUNEDIN, FL — The Pinellas County Commission voted to reopen beaches and pools, with restrictions that require visitors to maintain a 6-foot distance from one another (if not living in the same household) and to not congregate in groups of more than 10. The Dunedin Causeway will be fully open; however, CDC social distancing guidelines stated above, apply. Honeymoon Island is a state park and its re-opening is not yet known. The Governor will likely be making an announcement Wednesday 04/29 regarding all other openings.

POOLS:
•Community pools in Pinellas County may open at 50% capacity starting Thursday 4/30 at 6am

•Visitors must follow CDC social distancing guidelines and remain at least six feet apart and in groups of 10 or fewer people

BEACHES:
•Pinellas County public beaches and public beach parking will re-open Monday 5/4/20 at 7am
•Visitors must follow CDC social distancing guidelines and remain at least six feet apart and in groups of 10 or fewer people
•Honeymoon Island is a state park and its re-opening is not yet known
•The Dunedin Causeway will be fully open; however, CDC social distancing guidelines apply

DAYCARE PLAYGROUNDS:
•Playgrounds at child care centers in Pinellas County can open starting Thursday, 4/30 at 6am
•Public playgrounds are still closed but Public Parks are open
